I just finished reading the September/October issue of Altered Arts Magazine. It is a 50 page full color magazine. This issue focuses on altered games and has some good pictures. Articles include a basic guide for Selling Your Art on Ebay, tips for adhesives, using clear tar gel in altered pieces, and making mosaic type covers for your altered books. There is a really cool article on making a Legacy Book out of one of those paper mache books.
This magazine also offers kits you can buy every month. I have too much stuff already to take advantage of these, but some of them do look tempting! You can learn more about this magazine at:

Ginny Carter Smallenburg is the publisher of Observation. Included in this issue are Ginny''s favorite paper arts stores and some brief bios on the artists now designing for Stampers Anonymous. Tim Holtz, who is a popular teacher and demo artist, has just this group of artists. There is an article on how to make a fat book with some colorful examples of fat books made by Pam Sussman. Articles by Picasso Gaglione about Andy Warhol; Elaine Madrid about Mr. Gorgol; and, Sheri Gfeller about Tablescapes. Ginny reminisces about past experiences, including a really great art retreat, and reviews a recent visit to the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. Poems and color pages of art work round out this issue.
This issue has a personal feel to it that connects you to the publisher. More info available at: http://www.smallstudioproductions.com/TenPMPress

Alma Stoller is the publisher. Alma puts together the most incredible zines. Mostly black and white but with color inserts and goodies. There are articles on fabric scrumbles (great for adding to your textile arts), how to make a spiral needle book by Deana Harman, how to make embroidered pins for gifts, and how to make various embroidery stitches.
This issue focuses on embroidery and includes some patterns. There is an interview with Jenny Hart, an embroidery artist and some pictures of artists studios. Alma only makes a limited amount of each zine, so if you are interested in Fabric Arts, be sure and order it right away.

Diane Dobson-Barton has just published the 2nd edition of Controlling Creative Clutter.
It is a well organized and clearly written ebook that guides you through the organizing process using a workbook format.
Establishing work zones and knowing your artistic goals are primary tools. She describes how to clean your pasta machine. She also provides ideas on organizational tools and how to build desks, shelves, and other storage units. She finishes off with a list of resources and books about organizing. You can view the table of contents and obtain your own copy at:
