Frida Chunky Book is Done!

I haven't posted in 3 weeks because I have been really busy with the swap!  It is done and came out great!  I am so impressed with everyone's work in it!  Here are a couple of teasers!  Eventually I hope to copy all the pages and put them up at my website!  40 participants adds up to lots of packages!

 

Inchies

It seems that many of the yahoo groups are getting interested in "inchies" - those one inch by one inch square collages are a special challenge due to their small size.  I participated in one where we exchanged 100 for 100. Now what to do with all those squares?  I've seen some used on greeting cards as a focus tile.  I decided to put mine on the lid of a paper mache box so they can be seen altogether.  The box makes a great place to store special cards or momentos.

Fabric ATCs

I made my first Fabric ATCs at our art meeting yesterday.  Most people had not tried them before, but some had quilting experience.  I thought we did a pretty good job for our first efforts.  Mine are pictured below.  One photo is done with the packing tape transfer and sewed on and the other photo is fabric on paper.

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)

Do you want to write a novel? November is National Novel Writing Month.

Here is a chance to write a 50,000 word novel in one month.  Their motto is "no plot, no problem" 

The goal is to get out 50,000 words and not worry about grammar or spelling.  Show yourself that you have what it takes to put out the work. You will amaze yourself.  I have done this for 3 previous years and actually did more than 50,000 words 2 of those years.  I still don't have a published novel but it has done so much to improve my non-fiction writing and show myself that I can work fast when I need to.
